School Attendance Is The Law
Both parents/caregivers and students face going to
court if students skip school and these penalties:
- Parent/Caregiver
Up to a $1,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail.
- Truant Student
Can be sentenced by the Court to a juvenile
correctional facility and/or be placed in a foster
home or group home for failure to attend school.
