School attendance is key to a child’s future success in school and in life. Youth need to be in school and graduate from high school to have a chance at a good future.

The Education—Think About It Campaign is designed to communicate to the Montgomery County community the importance of staying in school and going to school every day. The campaign:

• Lets parents/caregivers and students know that attending school is critical to the student’s future.
• Reminds parents/caregivers of their important role in making sure that their children go to school.
• Makes parent/caregivers and students aware of the legal consequences for both the parent/caregiver and the student if the student skips school.
